Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse

An independent bookstore and coffeehouse located in midtown Atlanta, Outwrite opened in 1993 to serve Atlanta's gay & lesbian community. Growing quickly to become the largest GLBT landmark in the South, Outwrite has greatly expanded our clientele, products, and services to reflect the growing & diversifying Midtown community while staying true to our GLBT roots.

We feature not only GLBT literature but a wide array of great books in fiction, politics, style, entertaining, photography, and art books (as well as some that we just call "art books"). We also feature a selection of the very best CD's & DVD's, cards, and gifts.

Our coffeehouse features coffee roasted from Batdorf & Bronson Roasters as well as gourmet cupcakes, cookies, cakes, sandwiches, and soups.

Known worldwide for our signature events featuring emerging writers and literary superstars, we have recently been named " Atlanta's best bookstore" by both Southern Voice and Creative Loafing newspapers marking our 15 years as a landmark for the GLBT community and as part of the fabric of the greater Atlanta community.
