On this afternoon writers include RIGOBERTO GONZALEZ reading from his memoir The Mariposa Club (Alyson Books), DAVID GROFF reads from the poetry anthology Persistent Voices: Poetry by Writers Lost to AIDS (Alyson Books) which he co-edited with Phillip Clark, CHARLES JENSEN reads from his first full-length poetry collection The First Risk (Lethe Press), and RAKESH SATYAL reads from his lively coming of age novel Blue Boy (Kensington Publishing).In conjunction with In the Life Atlanta’s Black Gay Pride festival, Outwrite hosts an impressive list of top Black authors throughout the Labor Day weekend, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 3-5. Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse is located at 991 Piedmont Ave., at the corner of Tenth St. in Midtown Atlanta, 404-607-0082.
