OPEN MIC POETRY NIGHT.
Atlanta poet Franklin Abbott hosts the September installment of Outwrite’s popular Poetry Night. Tonight local poets are invited to arrive early to sign up to read. Special guest reader for the evening is prolific author, playwright, poet, and filmmaker DAVID-MATTHEW BARNES. Barnes has written the young adult novel Mesmerized and the forthcoming literary suspense novel Accidents Never Happen. Writer and director of the coming-of-age film Frozen Stars, Barnes recently completed a full-length collection of poems entitled Roadside Attractions.
